From a very young age, Eugène was fascinated by the photographs, paintings and illustrations that his father introduced him to through the books and magazines he produced. Eugène honed his eye and keen sense of storytelling as Creative Director at major Parisian agencies. He first became involved in machine learning in 2009, working on an application for Disneyland Paris (Toonificator) that won awards at numerous major festivals.

Drawing on a tapestry of influences, Eugène’s generative work combines the wry eccentricities of Pop Surrealism with a nod to mid-century editorial illustration and classical painting. The gentle distortions of scale, playful juxtapositions, and subtly uncanny subject matter link back to the Surrealist movement, where everyday scenes were reshaped by dreamlike elements. At the same time, Eugène’s careful handling of light and shadow recalls traditions of Renaissance and Baroque masters, giving the compositions a quietly luminous quality.

As an illustrator, Eugène is represented worldwide by Senso Art. Eugène works for clients such as Pentagram NYC / Connaissance des Arts (LVMH) / Menow app. / Saint-Gobain / Éditions Points / Schörghuber Stifung & Co. / Coloradan Magazine / La Banque Postale / TBWA Paris / Coloradan Magazine / JPG (Raja Group) / Renault Alpine / BMM Beautiful Minds GmbH / Jellyfish / Une Vie de Combats, le Film / Maison Habile / The Fake IKEA Summer 2050 Catalog / Parties Prenantes / Union Notariale Financière / Silenzio / Groupe Extrême / Yam Magazine / Ministère de la Transition Écologique / L'Autoroute de Sable / Agence Sir Winston / Mozoo, and he is the founder of Eugène Studio.
